What role-play prompting means
The Japanese phrase とは means “what is.” Role-play prompting means asking AI to answer as a specific role, viewpoint, tone, or task identity.
In LumiChat, this is useful for character chat because users can define the current scene, relationship, and response style.
How to write it
A simple structure is: who the role is, where the scene happens, what the conversation goal is, and what tone should be used.
The prompt does not need to be long. Clear, scene-like instructions usually work better than overfilled descriptions.
Keep privacy and boundaries clear
Do not share real addresses, phone numbers, identity documents, payment details, social accounts, or private information about other people.
For character chat, story chat, or daily companionship, fictional settings and lightweight scenes usually create a safer and more comfortable experience.
How it differs from a normal prompt
A normal prompt may ask AI to complete a task. Role-play prompting asks AI to respond from a role in a scene.
